Description
The world after the Conjunction of the Spheres is teeming with terrifying beasts, making it unsafe for anyone traveling alone. Lurking drowners, ghouls near cemeteries, and harpies swooping from above are just a few of the dangers that await adventurers!
This expansion adds a new layer of depth to various game elements: tracking and battling monsters, building your deck and combos, using bombs, leveraging mutagens, and incorporating special cards into your starting decks.
Included is a playable School of the Manticore Witcher, advanced action cards for your witcher, and 17 large monster cards—one for each of the Old World beasts. Each card features a new special ability for the monster and details four unique attacks, directly tied to the monster’s characteristics in the Witcher universe.
When a monster appears on the board, players place an additional large card beside it, visible to everyone and linked to that specific monster.
In addition to the 17 large cards, this expansion introduces 4 Special Combat Cards. Before engaging a monster, players can shuffle 2, 3, or 4 cards into its Life Pool, depending on the monster's level. This means that fighting a powerful werewolf will be a very different experience than facing a foglet hiding in mist and illusion. Furthermore, each encounter with the same monster will feel unique, as the order and presence of special attacks will vary.
These Special Combat Cards enhance battles and introduce a new mechanic—Passive Attacks. When a monster discards a Special Combat Card due to damage, the passive attack activates automatically.
With various special and passive attacks, players must carefully consider their decisions both while tracking the monster and during combat.
