After enduring years of humiliation since their annexation by the State Empire, the Japanese rose up to claim their freedom, paying a heavy blood toll in the Uprising. This marked the birth of the Greater Independent Japan, a nation reborn under the Bushido code and fiercely defended by the proud and relentless Japanese Secessionist Army (JSA), whose members live and die by the Way of the Samurai.
