Description
Carcassonne is a tile-placement game where players draw and place tiles depicting parts of a southern French landscape. Each tile might show a city, road, cloister, grassland, or a combination of these elements, and must be placed adjacent to previously played tiles to ensure cities connect to cities, roads to roads, and so on. After placing a tile, the player can choose to place one of their meeples on it—on a city as a knight, on a road as a robber, on a cloister as a monk, or on the grass as a farmer. Points are awarded when the area featuring the meeple is completed.
Throughout the game, players must make strategic decisions such as: "Is it worth placing my last meeple here?" or "Should I use this tile to expand my own city or place it near my opponent to hinder their progress?" With each turn involving the placement of a single tile and a meeple, the game moves quickly, offering numerous options and strategic possibilities.
